Destiny 2: The Final Shape Expansion Brings Back the Khvostov 7G-0X

Khvostov 7g 0x

Destiny 2 players, get ready to relive some nostalgic moments as Bungie brings back a fan-favorite Exotic weapon in the upcoming expansion, The Final Shape. The Khvostov 7G-0X, the very first gun players wielded in the original Destiny game, is making a grand return with a fresh look and an exciting new perk.

Originally introduced back in 2014, the Khvostov was a trusty auto rifle that accompanied Guardians in their early adventures. While it faded into the background as players progressed, it left a lasting impression.

In Destiny 1’s final expansion, Rise of Iron, the Khvostov received a makeover, becoming a great weapon with multiple firing modes. The quest to obtain it was memorable, with challenging encounters and a touching cutscene moment between players and Ghost.

Since then, the Khvostov has been absent from Destiny 2, but its return in The Final Shape marks a full-circle payback moment for veteran Guardians. Alongside this weapon, players can expect big changes with this new expansion.

The Prismatic subclass introduces the ability to mix Light and Darkness powers, creating limitless gameplay possibilities. Additionally, new Exotic class items will offer powerful perks, enhancing the Guardian’s strength.

For those looking to dive into Destiny 2 or catch up before The Final Shape arrives, Bungie offers a chance to experience previous expansions for free. The Open Access program includes Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.

PlayStation players can also grab last year’s Lightfall expansion as part of May’s free games lineup through PlayStation Plus.

With the return of the Khvostov and the promise of fresh content in The Final Shape, Guardians have much to look forward to, as they prepare to embark on their next adventure in the ongoing saga of Light and Darkness.
